ClearCorrect, similar to other clear aligner brands, is an alternative to traditional orthodontics and braces. A dentist must be certified to offer this treatment to patients. ClearCorrect aligns the teeth using a series of clear, custom-made and removable plastic trays to gradually move teeth over time.

What You Should Know

The dentist will take impressions, radiographs, photographs and, along with a prescription, will send the patient’s complete file to the ClearCorrect laboratory where a computerized 3D model will be created. The treatment team will then establish the complete treatment plan to show the gradual movement of teeth from their present position to the position marking the end of treatment.

The first step of the plan is the approval of computerized model, known as the set-up. The set-up is made available via e-mail for the patient to view, ask questions and make requests for adjustment for the ultimate approval of the patient. The treatment team will move forward with the plan upon the final approval.

ClearCorrect aligners offer enhanced clarity, minimal invasiveness and resistance to clouding from wear.

How ClearCorrect Works

The treatment typically involves four phases of aligner therapy. Each phase is a new set of aligners worn over a three-week period.

The ClearCorrect trays are worn throughout the day and night, except while eating and drinking or while brushing and flossing. The patient will notice changes between each aligner set as the teeth begin to align and adjust.

Throughout the treatment, there will be periodic check-ups with the dentist for evaluation and for the next set of aligners. This progression will run through the entire treatment plan.
